Yes, I so resonate with this! I find myself craving to listen to and chant with Snatam Kaur's "Anand" daily. Throughout the day I find myself thinking on the word anand(a) and it does just feel good. Listening and chanting along is like receiving a massage. I don't feel like I am working: instead, it feels as though the energy of those words is massaging me and doing the work. I relax into it. It CAN and DOES activate grace and joy within us, if we allow it.

Peace & Gratitude,
Lauren Lionheart

"When we shift our focus to the real versus the unreal, the balance with change corrects itself."
Yes, when we focus on what is real, there really is no resistance because we are part of that change - we become that change, so resistance to it goes against what we are destined to do/be in that very moment.
The change will be whatever it is, whether we go with it or not, so it feels good just to ride the waves and be with "what is."
Thank you Guruatma for your thoughts. ~

Thank you for your comments and kind words.
I think it is always about honnesty and the willing to admit our real feelings. Sometimes people pretend to be something other than what they are because that pretended being seems more easily acceptable.
I am enjoying your connections to Chinese medicine, very insightful. Lets both keep up and make the connections and observations.

Guruatma, Your words area constant reminder of what it's like to be human and humble. You have done so much spiritual work and have been in the public eye for years, yet you show us, who may think you are on a different level than the rest of us, that although you have gained many tools and practiced using them well, you are a human. You face all of the same joys and fears as the rest of humanity. It takes strength to point out these things rather than pretend that you don't struggle. Sometimes I notice that teachers or people who work on themselves spiritually have to be perceived as always being happy or calm. Perhaps that is just part of my judgement. But it's hard to learn about overcoming pain from someone who wants to pretend they don't have any. In the context of Chinese medicine, all of the emotions are valid in the appropriate settings and times. Its the imbalance of emotions that cause undo suffering and furthermore dis-ease. Furthermore, I think we can all relate to having garbage come up from the manner of others. Its a challenge to overcome.

Reading this gave me a way to put what I've been wanting to do into action. Sometimes I find that there are things I want to make changes to, but I am not sure how to do them. I have very strong opinions when it comes to politics and am quick to argue with anyone. Often times it begins as a good informative back and forth conversation, but I get very reactionary when something is said that I feel has not been well thought out. My instant reaction is to jump in and change that' person's mind. I am working on not doing this and have a found a few alternative approaches. One of them is to simply ask the person, with a neutral disposition, if they would like to hear what I know about the subject. If they say yes, I still try to say what I have learned in a less persuasive way. It's challenging. Maybe I should try not saying anything, however in a lot of these circumstances, i can feel the tension build inside of me. What do you do with that tension if it's goes unexpressed?
